13-03-08 Marvel previews: YOUNG X-MEN #1, LOGAN #2, CABLE #2 |
|
Can The Young X-Men Take Down The Brotherhood?
"This is the latest in the streamlining of the X-Books," says X-Editor Nick Lowe. "Following Messiah CompleX we wanted to make sure that ALL the X-Books were firing on all cylinders and Marc and Yanick do their part." This isn't your run of the mill teen comic book, though. "The floor is littered with teen super-hero books and we know it. All the stops are pulled out for this one-tons of surprises, a rich tradition, a tight tie to X-Continuity and more intrigue than you can shake a stick at. As well as big consequences for some of your favorite teen mutants (and not just the ones on the cover)!" Marvel urges retailers to check their orders on Young X-Men, as the Divided We Stand tie-ins continue to sell out and generate buzz from all corners! Now that the Young X-Men have been brought together, can they accomplish their mission? Or...should they? Find out in Young X-Men #1!
Brian K Vaughan & Eduardo Risso's Acclaimed Logan Continues!
The critics and fans agree-Logan is a hit, with ComicsBulletin.Com's David Wallace praising the series for its "satisfyingly rounded and realistically grounded approach." IGN.Com's Daniel Crown awarded Logan an Editor's Choice award, declaring the first issue "outstanding...a must-have." Following in the tradition of Spider-Man: Reign and Silver Surfer: Requiem, the first issue of this hot new limited series has sold out at Diamond (though there may be copies available at the retail level). Please note that Marvel currently has no plans to go back to press on Logan #1. Don't miss Logan #2 (of 3), continuing the sold-out series from Vaughan & Risso in two dynamic editions!
Cable Versus Bishop For The Fate Of All Mutantkind!
Critics continue to hail Cable as one of 2008's most x-citing new series. Steven Bari of ComicsBulletin declared the first issue to be, "Violent. Thrilling. Charming. Cable #1 is the beginning of a great action-adventure." "Any fan of the X-franchise, and Messiah Complex in particular, should be buying this book," gushed Richard George, IGN.Com. Paul Steven Brown, of ComicAddiction.Com, said, "I'm curious to see where this series will go in the next few months." Marvel urges retailers to check their orders on Cable, as the series ties into the red-hot Divided We Stand storyline and continues to affect the X-Men! Can Cable survive Bishop's assault? Find out in Cable #2!
